Hello! I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where I developed an interest in the natural world at a very young age. I am interested in research regarding how organisms are impacted by environmental issues such as climate change and pollution. I am particularly interested in observing these impacts at the molecular level. Additionally, I would like to explore more methods of science communication in order to increase the accessibility of science to all communities, ages, and education levels. In my free time I enjoy planning trips, hiking, film photography, embroidery, and ballroom dance.

Support the Conservation Scholars Program

The Conservation Scholars Fund directly supports students who are pursuing a career in conservation through the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program at the University of Washington. Effective conservation strategies are inclusive, involving a diversity of stakeholders and incorporating multiple values. Yet, the conservation community does not reflect the collective voice of our country. Without a significant, serious and immediate increase in diversity and inclusion, the conservation community will become a movement of the past instead of a guiding principle of the future. Our program aims to change that.
